So This Is Quaipo

Aside from the famous Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene, this could very well be the next best (worst) thing to symbolize Quiapo -- a homeless child with no one to care for. Sad but true.

Unleashing The Daredevil In Me

I'd gladly freeze this moment if I could. I can't explain the thrill I felt lying on this rock knowing that a little wrong move could get me killed in an instant. This was in Mt. Maculot in Cuenca, Batangas and that vast sea of blue green beneath me is the Taal Lake.

Hope This Gets To Italy

It's funny how my dad asked me to take a photo of this orchid and post it on Facebook for my stepmom who's in Rome right now to see. He said this was her favorite flower. I thought it's funny coz he might've forgotten that my stepmom and I don't go along really well. But since I'm not a bad son, I asked my brother to post it for her. :)

An Encounter With The Mummies

Hi! I just came back from my weekend trip in Kabayan, Benguet where I had a close encounter with the infamous fire mummies of Mt. Timbac. Never mind that we traveled 7 grueling hours on rough road from Baguio City to reach the cave where these mummies are being kept... the exhaustion was all worth it! When before I only get to see them on the National Geographic channel, now I can proudly say that I had the rare chance of seeing them face to face. Isn't it amazing? :)

It's More Fun In Caramoan

It has been announced: The location of the 25th season of the top-rating US reality show "Survivor" is the Caramoan Peninsula in Camarines Sur. Survivor US is the 9th Survivor franchise to shoot at the picure-perfect Caramoan Islands following Israel, Bulgaria, Serbia, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Belgium and India. I went there October last year and instantly fell in love with the white sand beaches, crystal clear waters and jaw-dropping limestone karst formations. Caramoan is truly world class and one of a kind!

Big Dreams Begin With Small Steps

Now I'm feeling some regrets for not joining this year's Big Brother Big Sister Outreach Project in Oriental Mindoro. But even if I  signed up, I still wouldn't be able to go because I fell sick the weekend of the climb. The photo here was taken last year when the outreach was held in Marinduque. Joining causes like this provides the volunteers with a very rewarding experience as they do not only get to commune with nature, they also get to help keep children in school by bringing them supplies that they would be needing for the upcoming school year. Knowing that there are big brothers and big sisters willing to extend a helping hand, the parents of these poor children will not be discouraged to send them to school. I hope I find the time to join again next year.

Today Is Pahiyas Festival

This has got to be my most published photo to date. It has made an appearance each on Friendster, Multiply, Facebook, Blogger, Photobucket, Cyworld, INQUIRER.net and Myspace. It was taken many years back in Lucban, Quezon during the very colorful Pahiyas Festival.

An Adventure Above The Clouds

I've been very sickly lately so forgive me for not being able to update this site for quite a while. Anyway, I would like to share with you this photo which I took at the Mt. Pulag National Park in Kabayan, Benguet. We were on our way back to the campsite after assaulting the summit just before sunrise. We were above the clouds, can you see?! I simply love this mountain. I just wish that it stays this beautiful for the next generations to enjoy and appreciate.

Named One Of The Best

Palaui Island in Sta. Ana, Cagayan has been recently named by the travel website CNNGo as one of the Top 10 Best Beaches in the Philippines. This photo shows one of the most breathtaking views from on top of the island. The other beaches in the list are: El Nido, Boracay, Pagudpud, Siargao, Panglao, Bantayan Island, Caramoan, Samal Island and Great Sta. Cruz Island. I'm proud to say I've been to 8 out of 10 in the list. Just wondering, though, why Calaguas and Anawangin were not included.

The Suite Life

These two girls were tempted to take a dip at the inviting pool but they were also very much inclined to just laze around on the velvety bed of our suite at the Holiday Inn Manila last weekend. Together with four other friends, we set out on a mini-getaway right in the middle of the city... for a change.  We loved it we're already planning for the next!
